Size Guide

Size Guide

We do not work in standard sizes. Every DIDDA gown is cut to your own measurements, so there is no size chart to choose from — there is only your measurements, taken properly.

Measurements we need

  • Bust — around the fullest part, tape level all the way round
  • Under bust — directly beneath the bust, snug
  • Waist — the narrowest part of the torso
  • Hips — around the fullest part, roughly 20 cm below the waist
  • Shoulder to waist — from the top of the shoulder down to the natural waist
  • Waist to hem — from the natural waist to where you want the gown to finish
  • Height — without shoes
  • Heel height — the shoes you intend to wear on the day

How to measure

Use a soft tailor’s tape, not a builder’s tape. Wear close-fitting underwear — ideally the underwear you plan to wear with the gown, as it changes the shape. Keep the tape snug but not tight; you should be able to slide a finger underneath.

Stand naturally and breathe normally. Do not hold your breath or pull the tape in, as a gown built to a held-in measurement will not be comfortable to wear for a full day.

Wherever possible, ask someone else to measure you rather than doing it alone.
